Effective January 21st, 2024, the minimum cost for Priority Express sets at $30.95 for mailing a 1 pound package (based on 9 zone pricing)*.

Previously, a declaration made January 27, 2019 expressed that USPS will not offer the option of sending boxes at flat rate box via Express Mail. Before the 2019 date, the basic rate was at $44.95.


To be sendable by the USPS: the flat rate applies to packages that are up to 70 pounds in weight and that have contents that fit within the USPS provided box - a container openable from the side (13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8") or the top (11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2").


* Amount represents among the least expensive of destination Zones and the cost may be considerably more for other Zones being shipped. Fees for other, heavier parcels are graduated by increments of weight by Zone.
